Water Treatment

Water treatment systems are divided into two, as clean water purification and waste water purification systems. Water systems are used for automation of the line pressurizing, pump elevation and water pump systems and well water. Great advantages are provided by using RTU, telemetry, radio modem, GPRS, GSM or RF antenna systems taking into account the location of systems as dispersed in large areas or at remote places.

In purification automations analog parameters such as water conductivity, pH degree, pressure, temperature, flow, and level of warehouses are transferred to the central PLC. Data from all points required in the system is retrieved and the required places are activated or stopped according to the predetermined work system. All the data in the system can be monitored and controlled with the SCADA display. Also, if requested this data can be carried to internet or smart devices by transferring it to online and mobile platforms.

Purification systems consist of building structures in a large field, scattered electric charge density, PLC architecture and conditions of instrumentation. In this regard, needs arise like control, maintenance, fault monitoring and reporting.

General Features

  • Pumps can work or stop according to operating schedule. Configurations such as entering of pumps into system in desired order or back up work and so on, are available. Pumps may be disabled according to the bearing and stator heat and next least used pump or a spare unit may be taken into the circuit.
  • Alarms can be set up depending on the pressure and the change in flow profile of every pump entering into system.
  • Communication between centers of water well or spring water to the central water tank and pump station can be provided by wireless, wired or optical fiber structures.
  • Every engine in the system can be operated separately, manually or automatically.
  • A redundant structure is built by two PLC systems as mutual back-up, so that immediate takeover of operation is provided by the other one in case of a fault, to ensure the continuous operation of the system.
  • Information about status of engines “working”, “faulty”, “standing” as well as all of the data flow from the field measurements on SCADA, takes place fully automatically via PLC. (Such as dissolved oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, tank levels, and sodium hydroxide dosing regulated by PID algorithms according to the air flow rate)
  • Operation of the ozone generator which is heart of the system, its fault monitoring and cooling is provided with compressors.
  • Control of hot and cold water lines in the cooling process is made with PID algorithms by three-way valves and proportional valves.
  • The system automatically determines the work schedule according to the level of capacity automatically selected depending on the temperature, and controls the valves and separates the sulfur contained in the treated water into acid and salt, making it odorless.
  • The fault reports, working papers and maintenance information of the system can be monitored through SCADA and can be printed through the printer as needed.

Potable Water Treatment Plant

Growing need for water as a result of rapid population growth and industrial development in today’s circumstances, purification of poor quality water from poor resources and purification of polluted waters to make them harmless, require complex control systems.

DCS SCADA system designed with scattered structure DCSs provides easy installation and easy configuration. Modular function blocks have been tested at each application for years and has gained its ideal structure. ADP, MCC systems are specifically designed in modular structure for water treatment plant. Thus, less working time is required and more accurate results are obtained for each project. Selected instruments for purification plants, which have been tested for years, are used in the process of all projects and maximum efficiency and safety is obtained in that way.

Wastewater Treatment Plant

Water obtained out of usage for basic needs at areas including mainly residential buildings, industry and agriculture is called waste water. Physical, chemical and biological treatment processes applied to waste water which lost, as a result of various uses, its physical, chemical and bacteriological properties to gain back those partially or wholly or to adjust them in a way they would not change physical, chemical, bacteriological and ecological properties of the receiving environment is called as “waste water purification”. Wastewater purification plant automation, provides for control and monitoring possibility with the processes used for purification of waste water from contaminants by means of physical actions.

Various applications are executed in the plant by rids, sieves, sand catchers, buoyancy systems, settling ponds and equalization pools. Chemical purification systems are processes implemented to ensure precipitation of dissolved or suspended items in water by changing their physical state. During chemical purification process, target substances are caused to precipitate and removed from water in the form of mud, by adding chemical items (coagulant, polyelectrolyte, etc.) with proper pH value to waste water.
